Mafhoom exists to make information reachable for everyone, whatever their language, age or device. We want this website to be just as open.
1. Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, in line with the Digital Government Authority's guidance for digital services in the Kingdom.
2. What we have done
- Full Arabic and English versions, with correct right-to-left layout.
- Keyboard access to every link, button and form field, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Text and interface colours checked for contrast in both light and dark themes.
- Motion reduced automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and labels on every form field.
- Layouts that adapt to small screens and to text zoom up to 200%.
3. The service itself
Mafhoom's pilgrim service is voice-first. It works on any phone, needs no app, no internet and no reading, and supports many languages. That makes it usable by people with low vision, low literacy or little experience with smartphones.
4. Known limitations
Partner logos are images and may not scale perfectly at high zoom. We are working on improvements. The live call demo on the home page is shown as text and animation, with no sound.

١. معيارنا
نسعى إلى استيفاء إرشادات إتاحة محتوى الويب (WCAG) 2.1 بالمستوى AA، بما يتوافق مع توجيهات هيئة الحكومة الرقمية للخدمات الرقمية في المملكة.
٢. ما قمنا به
- نسختان عربية وإنجليزية كاملتان، مع تخطيط صحيح من اليمين إلى اليسار.
- إمكانية الوصول بلوحة المفاتيح إلى كل رابط وزر وحقل، مع إطار تركيز واضح ورابط «انتقل إلى المحتوى».
- ألوان نصوص وواجهة جرى التحقق من تباينها في المظهرين الفاتح والداكن.
- تقليل الحركة تلقائياً عندما يطلب جهازك ذلك.
- نصوص بديلة للصور ذات المعنى، وتسميات لكل حقول النماذج.
- تخطيطات تتكيف مع الشاشات الصغيرة ومع تكبير النص حتى ٢٠٠٪.
٣. الخدمة نفسها
خدمة مفهوم لضيوف الرحمن صوتية أولاً، تعمل من أي هاتف دون تطبيق أو انترنت أو حاجة إلى القراءة، وتدعم لغات عديدة، مما يجعلها ميسّرة لضعاف البصر ولمن لا يجيدون القراءة ولمن قلّت خبرتهم بالهواتف الذكية.
٤. قيود معروفة
شعارات الشركاء صور، وقد لا تتكيف تماماً عند التكبير الكبير. ونعمل على تحسين ذلك. أما العرض التوضيحي للمكالمة في الصفحة الرئيسية فيُعرض نصاً ورسوماً متحركة دون صوت.
